The Head of E-Commerce will lead efforts to define, design, and execute innovative E-commerce user interface and experience features, content, and functionality in support of key initiatives and goals.
Other responsibilities include:
Strategic Site Development – Leads effective planning and development processes to ensure the E-commerce retail web and mobile sites are productive towards product sales conversion Roadmap Development for Usability & Conversion Optimization – Leads a team to spearhead continuous improvement concepts to web site features, functionality, and design, to enhance site usability and product sales conversion rates. Translation of complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design Roadmap Development Planning – Documentation and prioritization of development concepts. Site Analytics – Develops industry-best-practice KPI and P&L reporting of site performance, combined with effective analysis of those reports to leverage data insights to drive improved business performance. Team Development – Provides consistent and effective leadership and mentorship to advance the skills, coordination and overall effectiveness of cross-functional teams Provide technical leadership in the evaluation, design, and implementation of new eCommerce capabilities to support business strategy and priorities Partner with eCommerce and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure the team is aligned to technical standards and direction
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing or equivalent Solid technical/IT skills in the eCommerce space is a must Strong understanding of Google Analytics and other site measurement tools. Experience leading large-scale E-commerce platform implementations. Over 10 years of professional experience assembling, leading or managing high-performing technical teams. Proven track record of success in fast-moving organizations with complex technology applications. Proven ability to turn strategy into reality through superior execution. Proven ability to utilize quantitative inputs to identify trends and behaviours and subsequent actions to take to drive improvements in the online channel. Proven success in leading exponential growth of eCommerce portals.
